'Liquid Cookies' Nectar | Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief

Make the Camp Half-Blood nectar (a demigod's healing drink) at home for your next Percy Jackson birthday party! Just like in Rick Riordan's books, serve up a drink that looks like cold apple juice but tastes like Percy's mom's blue chocolate chip cookies.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups soda water divided

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan over low heat, add cinnamon to warm for 1 minute.
  • Add the butter and stir until melted and combined with cinnamon.
  • Stir in the vanilla, brown sugar, and salt until combined, then stir in the white chocolate syrup. Turn off the heat and let the flavors infuse for 1 hour. The color will be a murky brown. at this stage.
  • Pour in 1/2 cup soda water and stir to combine to make straining easier.
  • Place a clean cotton tea towel in a sieve over a measuring cup and pour mixture through the towel to separate the spices. You'll end up with an apple juice-colored liquid.
  • Top with remaining 1 cup soda water and serve between 4 glasses.
