'Liquid Cookies' Nectar | Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief
Bryton Taylor; In Literature
Make the Camp Half-Blood nectar (a demigod's healing drink) at home for your next Percy Jackson birthday party! Just like in Rick Riordan's books, serve up a drink that looks like cold apple juice but tastes like Percy's mom's blue chocolate chip cookies.
In a small saucepan over low heat, add cinnamon to warm for 1 minute.
Add the butter and stir until melted and combined with cinnamon.
Stir in the vanilla, brown sugar, and salt until combined, then stir in the white chocolate syrup. Turn off the heat and let the flavors infuse for 1 hour. The color will be a murky brown. at this stage.
Pour in 1/2 cup soda water and stir to combine to make straining easier.
Place a clean cotton tea towel in a sieve over a measuring cup and pour mixture through the towel to separate the spices. You'll end up with an apple juice-colored liquid.
Top with remaining 1 cup soda water and serve between 4 glasses.
