Instructions
Prepare Pumpkin Juice (Fresh Option):
Place halved butternut squash in a baking tray with 2 cups of water.Roast at 180°C / 355°F for about 40 minutes or until soft.Let cool, scoop out the flesh (discard skin), and blend with the roasting water.Strain through cheesecloth for smoother texture, if desired.
Prepare Pumpkin Juice (Canned Option):
Blend 1 cup canned pumpkin with ¼ cup water until smooth. Strain if needed.
Make the Pumpkin Juice Blend:
Measure out 1¼ cups of your prepared pumpkin juice.
In a saucepan, combine with apple juice, apricot nectar, vanilla, spice, and sugar.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20–30 minutes. This step concentrates the flavors and infuses the spices into the juice.
Cool completely before bottling or refrigerating. Serve chilled or gently reheated in mugs for a cozy Hogwarts feel.
