Wherever Winnie-the-Pooh is, a pot of honey is never far behind! Step back into the Hundred Acre Wood with Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends as they wander through honey-seeking climbs, Heffalump hunts and birthday surprises.
Inspired by the gentle woodlands, the favourite foods of his friends, and our favourite Bear’s unwavering love of honey, these menus are designed for three occasions: a Winnie-the-Pooh baby shower, Eeyore’s birthday party (perfect for little ones), and a Hundred Acre Wood picnic suited to both young and old — so we can all journey back to childhood, if only for an afternoon.

What food is in the Winnie-the-Pooh books?
In both Winnie-the-Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner, it is almost guaranteed that a pot of honey will be found somewhere near Pooh. Honey isn’t just his favourite food, it’s the reason for many of his adventures, from climbing trees in search of bees to getting stuck in Rabbit’s doorway.
Not far behind, and found in most cupboards in the Hundred Acre Wood, is often a tin of condensed milk, enjoyed with bread or taken by the mouthful as a small eleven o’clock comfort.
Piglet, meanwhile, has simpler woodland tastes and favours haycorns (acorns), though when it comes to catching a Heffalump, even he agrees that Pooh’s jar of honey is “a much more trappy thing.”
When Tigger bounces into the Forest in The House at Pooh Corner, we learn that while honey, acorns, thistles, and condensed milk may suit others, what Tiggers like best is Roo’s Strengthening Medicine (Extract of Malt).
Birthdays in the Hundred Acre Wood are marked with cake, icing, candles, and pink sugar, while expeditions call for provisions and the occasional marmalade-topped honeycomb.

He looked up at his clock, which had stopped at five minutes to eleven some weeks ago.
“Nearly eleven o’clock,” said Pooh happily. “You’re just in time for a little smackerel of something,” and he put his head into the cupboard.
