Writing Once Upon a Cookbook has been one of the greatest joys of my creative life. I pored over old cookbooks, revisited my favourite stories and re-explored worlds that first sparked my imagination as a child.
In many ways, this cookbook felt like a gift from creativity itself. Each recipe became an invitation to slow, to be present and to experience the magic of these stories in my own kitchen. It’s easy to focus on the finished book, the part we share with others, but the actual act of creating lies in letting the process shape and move us first.
